Microchip's Today
Intel has improved the microchip throughout the years, and now it can do things that people never imagined. There are over 560 million transistors in a chip that is about the size of your finger tip. The chips allow you to use the internet and have a conversation on the phone. The fact that you are able to call someone in a matter of 5 seconds even if they are on the other side of the world is a bigger deal than people realize. Although Moore's Law influenced all of this, Moore's Law is not in action today because to double the amount of transistors in the current chip is quite a lot.
